Archetypes

The archetypes page includes brief details about Magic archetypes. Most classifications of decks begin from one of four major strategies: aggro, control, combo, and midrange. There are also hybrid strategies.

Formats

The formats page includes brief details about various Magic formats as well as a link to the official Wizards doc for each format.

Decks

The decks page includes a list of all the decks added to the site. These decks don't list the actual card contents, but are just a general name used to describe the deck that can be used for record keeping. Any registered user can add a deck, and decks are shared with all users. Decks are mapped by format and name, so if there is already a Modern deck named "Jund", you won't be able to add another.

Record Keeping

From the user menu dropdown, you can go to Events to log your tournament results.

Events

An event is any number of Magic games played together. It can be anything from play testing to Friday Night Magic to the Pro Tour. The least it needs is a name, but you can also add a description, the date, the time, what place you got, and/or the total number of players in the event. An event can have any number of matches.

Matches

A match is a single round of Magic. It can be best of 1, best of 3, etc... A match will have a number, typically auto-incrementing, and a deck that you played for that match. Since events can have different formats, you select a deck per match rather than per event; however, the app will auto-select the previous deck (if there is one) when adding additional matches, so this should speed up entering your results. It will also autofill the match number based on the number of previous matches in that event. A match can have any number of opponents and any number of games.

Opponents

An opponent is any deck (and player) you played against. A match may have 1 opponent, like in Modern and Legacy, or it could have 3, like in cEDH. It can be any number, really. At the least, you need to select a deck per opponent. This allows you to track your performance against the meta. You can also enter a name for the opponent if you'd like.

Game

A game is the same as it is in Magic. A single game ends when there's a winner. A match may have 1 game, like in best of 1, or it could have 3, like in best of 3. It can have any number, really. At the least, you need to select a result for the game (win, loss, or draw). You can also enter the start time and/or end time.
